Indian Defence Procurement Opportunities- A Guide

In a survey conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) recently identified the understanding of defence procurement policies and procedures as one of the major issues which deters industry in participating in the defence sector.

Maj. Gen.(Retd) Dr. Bhupinder Yadav collated the relevant references from Industry perspective and published a book in association with CII “Indian Defence Procurement Opportunities- A Guide” for the Indian SME. The book was released by Hon. Minister of State for Defence Sh M M Pallam Raju.

The research study conducted by Maj Gen(Retd.) Dr. Bhupinder Yadav on “Optimisation of Test and Evaluation of Armaments” resulted in cost saving to the nation of over INR 90 million annually, through rationalisation of test/ equipment design and infrastructure improvement. The project received the National Award on Economics of Quality , instituted by Quality Council of India. The award was presented by Hon. President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam .
